Who We Are
The DPR Korea Cultural Engagement Initiative is a project aimed at building strong cultural ties between the DPR Korea and foreign countries and organisations through exchanges, cooperative projects, and specific person-to-person diplomacy.
The DPRK-CEI is a focal point for bringing together Korean organisations, and linking them with international counterparts with the shared goal of developing closer civil and cultural relations. The core of the DPRK-CEI is Benjamin Weston FRGS, managing director of the organisation, working alongside his Korean counterpart who operates as the ground manager for projects in Pyongyang.
Our mission is to build on preexisting ties between Korea and foreign countries, focusing on what brings us together as people; shared history, culture and traditions; working to educate and engage people from both countries to usher in a new era of friendship and understanding between Korea and international groups.
We partner with a number of Korean organisations in the fields of education, culture, disability rehabiliation, and more. We’re also partnered with Absolute Nomads, a Mongolian-registered travel company to facilitate visits by Korean groups internationally.
Our goal is to operate exchange projects and collaborative events between Korea and foreign insitutions, groups, and delegations to facilitate closer diplomatic relations between countries, and educate the populations on traditions, culture, and history.

Mongolia & Korea
Korea shares deep historical ties with many nations in East Asia, as well as having a unique culture and national heritage.
